Active Citizenship Project:  “How can you make your world a better place to live?”

 

 

Step 1:  Select an issue that you are concerned about.

Examples:

First Nations suicides

Youth and cyberbullying

 

Step 2:  Research the issue…

 

Questions to be answered:

Who is impacted?

How many people are impacted?

Why is this issue a concern?

How is the issue impacting the lives of people?

How long has issue been taking place?

Is the issue getting better or worst?

What is being done to solve the issue?

Who is already taking action?

 

Required sources of information:

1 newspaper article written within the past year

1 journal article

1 source written by an expert in the field (ideally from an organization active in the field)

2 additional academic sources (your choice)
